Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of GAF-J ("we", "us") covering the free GAF-J software you install on your own computer, the hosted service at app.gaf-j.com, and the credits you buy for it. By installing the software, creating an account, or buying credits, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use GAF-J.

1. What GAF-J is

GAF-J is a tool for running a job search: it keeps a record of your work history that you confirm, and it assembles resumes, interview preparation, and related documents from that record using an AI model. GAF-J is not a recruiter, an employer, a career counselor, or a law firm. It does not find you a job and does not promise any outcome from using it.

2. The free app

The free version runs entirely on your computer. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to install and use it for your own job search. You may not resell it, offer it as a service to others, or remove its notices. It is provided as is; see sections 8 and 9. Your data in the free app never reaches us, and we cannot recover it for you if it is lost. Back it up.

3. The hosted service

• You need a Google account to sign in. You are responsible for keeping that account secure and for everything done through it.
• One account per person. Do not share an account, and do not create accounts for other people.
• Your record, documents, and campaign are stored for you in your account. You can export all of it at any time and delete all of it at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent and takes effect at once, with backups purged within thirty days.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after notice where practical.

4. Credits and payment

• Documents on the hosted service run on an AI model we pay for and are charged in credits. Prices per document type are shown in the app before you run anything, and nothing runs unasked.
• Credits are sold in packages through Stripe. Prices are in US dollars and include any applicable tax where the law requires. Payment details go to Stripe; we never see your card number.
• Credits are held to run a document and released, not charged, if the run fails our checks. A completed run is charged whether or not you like the result, because the model cost has been paid.
• Credits do not expire while your account is open. If you delete your account, unused credits are forfeited unless you ask for a refund first.
• Refunds: unused credits are refunded on request within thirty days of purchase. Write to admin@gaf-j.com from the email on the account.
• Prices may change. A change applies to purchases after it is posted, never to credits you already hold.

5. Your content

Everything you upload, confirm, or write in GAF-J stays yours. We take only the license needed to store it and to send the parts you chose to the AI model for the document you asked for. We do not use your content to train any model, do not sell it, do not share it with employers or recruiters, and do not read it except to fix a problem you have asked us to fix. The Privacy Policy says exactly what is stored and for how long.

You are responsible for your content: that it is yours to use, that it is true, and that it contains nothing you are not allowed to share (for example a former employer's confidential figures).

6. AI output

Documents are produced by an AI model working from your confirmed record. GAF-J checks every figure and claim against that record and refuses output it cannot trace, but no check is perfect. Before you send any document to anyone, read it. You are the author of what you send, and you are responsible for its accuracy. GAF-J never applies, sends, or submits anything on your behalf.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use GAF-J to misrepresent your work history, to impersonate another person, to process someone else's data without their permission, to probe or overload the service, or to break any law. Do not attempt to extract the underlying model prompts or to use the service as a general AI proxy; it runs named operations only.

8. No warranty

GAF-J is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and uninterrupted operation. We do not warrant that any document will get you an interview or a job.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, lost opportunities, or lost data arising from your use of GAF-J. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for credits in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; where that is so, they apply only as far as the law permits.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced on the site and in the app at least fourteen days before they take effect; continuing to use GAF-J after that is acceptance. You can end the agreement at any time by deleting your account and uninstalling the software. Sections 5, 8, 9, and 11 survive termination.

11. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and applicable federal law of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by email is brought in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Disputes go first to a good-faith attempt at resolution by email; write to admin@gaf-j.com.
